*သူေတာ္ေကာင္းဆိုတာ*

 သမုဒၵယာေရဟာ မီးေၾကာင့္မကြ်မ္းဘူး၊

ျမင့္မိုရ္ေတာင္ဟာလည္း ေလေၾကာင့္မတုန္လွဳပ္ဘူး၊

ေက်ာက္ခဲဟာလည္း ေရေၾကာင့္မေၾကဘူး၊

ဒီလိုပဲ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းဟာလည္း

မသူေတာ္ဖ်က္တာကို မတုန္လွဳပ္သင့္ဘူး။

*The Morally Pure Person* 

The ocean can not be burned by fire.

The Myinmo mountain will not be shaken by the wind.

The rock can not be melted by water.

So also the morally pure person will not be affected by the

misdeeds of an evil-minded person.

Myinmo = Meru (Great mountain)

သန္ ့ရွင္းတဲ့နား အၾကားမ်ားတယ္၊

စင္ၾကယ္တဲ့ စိတ္ဟာလည္း အသိပညာမ်ားတယ္။

*Pure Mind, More Knowledge*

If the ear is clean you will hear more and better.

If the eyes is clear you will see more and better.

If your mind is pure you will gain more knowledge.

ေလာကၾကီးထဲမွာ ဘယ္သူမဆို

ခ်မ္းသာခ်င္ၾကတာပဲ၊

သူမ်ားဆင္းရဲဒုကၡေရာက္မွ

ကိုယ္ခ်မ္းသာရတာမ်ိဳးေတာ့

မျဖစ္ေစနဲ ့, မလုပ္အပ္ဘူး။

သူမ်ားဆင္းရဲေအာင္

ကိုယ္--စိတ္ မလုပ္ၾကနဲ ့၊

အနစ္နာခံစရာရွိရင္

ကိုယ္သာခံ, ဒါ--လူ ့သီလပဲ။

 *Man's Precept*

Everyone in the world wishes to be

happy and prosperous.

Yet do not try to obtain profit from others' misery.

Don't do anything that may cause unhappiness in many people.

If a sacrifice is called for, you should offer it.

That's man's precept of good conduct.

*ကိုယ္ျဖစ္ခ်င္ ျဖစ္ေစနိဳင္ေသာတရား*

သစၥာဟာ မုသားနဲ ့ေျပာင္းျပန္ျဖစ္တယ္၊

ယခုေခတ္မွာ သစၥာအလြန္နည္းၾကတယ္၊

မုသားဟာ  ငါးပါးသီလကိုယ္က်င့္မွာေတာင္

အျမဲေရွာင္ဖို ့ပါေနတယ္၊ သီလရွိသူဟာ

ကိုယ္ျဖစ္ခ်င္တဲ့အက်ိဳးကိုရနိဳင္တယ္၊

သီလမရွိရင္ ငရဲ တိရစ ၦာန္, ျပိတၱာ တခုခုနဲ ့

လူနံု လူမြဲ လူဆင္းရဲသာျဖစ္ရမယ္။

*Sila*

Truth is the opposite of falsehood.

In the present time truth is weak.

Even in the five precepts, avoiding lies has been featured.

The person who has sila  (morality)

can get the rewards he wishes to have.

If you don't have good morality, you will either go to Hell or

become an animal in your next existence.

Even if you were reborn as a human being,

you would be a poor one.

*ၾကီးပြားေရးလမ္းစဥ္*

အေနလည္းေကာင္းစိတ္လည္းေကာင္း၍

ေကာင္းေကာင္း ပညာတတ္မွသာ

ငါဟာ ၾကီးပြားမည္။

အေနမေကာင္း စိတ္မေကာင္း၍

ေကာင္းေကာင္းပညာ မတတ္ပါ

ငါသာ ဆုတ္ယုတ္မည္။

*Progress and Retrogression*

with good behavior, a good mind, and a good education,

 I will make headway in life.

Otherwise I will get into the rut.

Fame and Wealth
Fame and wealth are after all nothing.
When you die  you have to depend on sila (precept),
smadhi (stability) and panna (wisdom).

အညာသား၊ ေအာက္သား၊ ေတာင္ေပၚေျမျပန္ ့သား
ေသြးမကြဲေအာင္အခ်င္းခ်င္း အျပန္အလွန္လက္ထပ္ဖို ့လိုတယ္၊
ဒါမွလက္ေတြ ့ညီညြတ္ေရးပဲ။

*Inter-racial Marriages*
Inter-racial marriages are necessary for national solidarity
among Upper Myanmar, 
Lower Myanmar,
 Hills peoples and Plainsmen.

ငါသည္ ဘယ္လိုငါျဖစ္ထိုက္သနည္း၊

သူတပါးကို ညာ၀ါးလို ့ရသည္ ငါ့ကိုယ္ငါ ညာ၀ါးလို ့မရ၊
မည္သူမဆို မိမိကိုယ္ကို မိမိၾကည္ညိဳခံရေသာသူျဖစ္ေအာင္ၾကိဳးစားရမယ္။

What kind of person am I?
I ought to be the person for whom 
I myself have a high respect.
 I can lie to others, but I can't lie to myself.
Everybody should try to become
